A convenient, worry-free way to pay your bills on time
Pre-Authorized Debits (PADs) are quick and easy to set up with most major billing companies. Here’s how to set up a PAD for your bills and recurring payments — in two easy steps.
Step 1
Call your billing company or visit their website to find out their process for setting up a Pre-Authorized Debit.
To make it easy for you, we’ve provided a list of the most common billing companies and an outline of their current processes.

Step 2
Provide the billing company with your chequing account information. Depending on the company, this may be provided by either:

1. Your TD Access Card’s 16-digit number.
If you have an enhanced TD Access Card
and your billing company accepts Visa Debit, Pre-Authorized Debit or recurring purchases, provide them with your TD Access Card’s 16-digit number.

2. Your TD Canada Trust chequing account information.
Some billing companies may need your
(1) Branch Transit Number,
(2) Institution Number, and
(3) Account number. You can find these numbers at the bottom of your cheque, if you have one (see an example), or you can call us or visit your branch to get this information.
If you have any questions, or need help finding your account information, call us at EasyLine: 1-866-222-3456 or visit your nearest branch.
